Bottom row:

• Gefreiter: An enlisted sailor, equivalent to a Seaman. He is wearing the formal sailor’s dress uniform (white jumper with a blue collar) and is armed with a Kar98k rifle.

• Gefreiter-Funker: A specialist Seaman Radio Operator. His specialty is shown by the “lightning bolt” trade badge on his sleeve. He wears a blue service uniform and carries a Kar98k rifle.

• Artilleristen-Obermaat: A senior NCO Naval Gunner. His artillery specialty is shown by the “flaming bomb” trade badge on his sleeve. For combat duty, he wears a blue uniform and a Stahlhelm (steel helmet) and carries a Kar98k rifle.
