North Vietnamese Army (NVA) infantryman with the SKS or AK-47 rifles from the Vietnam War – Custom Printed Brick Block Figure

This image displays a toy minifigure set representing a North Vietnamese Army (NVA) infantryman from the Vietnam War era (circa 1960s-1970s).

The figure is depicted in the standard-issue olive-green uniform of the NVA, featuring a stand-up collar with red collar tabs. He wears the iconic olive-green pith helmet (mũ cối), which is adorned with the PAVN emblem (a gold star in a red circle with a gold wreath). This lightweight helmet was ideal for the hot, tropical climate of the jungle.

He is equipped with a canvas “Chicom” chest rig. This type of rig, with its multiple pouches for ammunition, was the standard load-bearing equipment for both NVA and Viet Cong forces, commonly used with the SKS or AK-47 rifles.

The set includes two key weapon accessories:

• A toy replica of the Type 56 SKS rifle. This was a Chinese-made version of the Soviet SKS carbine, which was a very common weapon for the NVA, especially in the earlier stages of the war. The accessory correctly shows the rifle’s distinctive folding spike bayonet in the fixed position.
• A toy replica of a B-40 rocket-propelled grenade. The B-40 (the Vietnamese designation for the Soviet RPG-2) was a simple, rugged, and highly effective anti-personnel and anti-armor weapon used extensively by the NVA and Viet Cong.
