Chinese PLA Honor Guard (Army / Ground Force) – Custom Printed Brick Block Figure

The Figure: Chinese PLA Honor Guard (Army / Ground Force)

This toy minifigure represents a soldier of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), specifically a member of the Ground Force Honor Guard. This figure completes the tri-service ceremonial set (joining the previous Navy/White and Air Force/Blue figures).

• Uniform: He is dressed in the Type 07 Ceremonial Uniform in the signature Pine Green of the PLA Ground Force.

  • Gold Accents: Like the other honor guard figures, he features a prominent yellow/gold Aiguillette (braided cord) on his left shoulder. This is a specific status symbol for ceremonial troops.

  • Belt: He wears a white ceremonial belt with a gold rectangular buckle, which contrasts sharply against the dark green tunic.

  • Insignia: The collar tabs feature the gold pine branch design, and ribbons are printed on his chest.

• Headgear: He wears the Green Peaked Cap to match the uniform. The cap features the PLA Emblem (Red Star with gold characters and wheat ears) on the front.

• Accessories: Unlike the previous images, this specific crop shows him with White Gloves (white hands) but without a rifle in hand, emphasizing his stance at attention. However, in a full set, he would typically carry the Type 95 rifle like his counterparts.

Historical Background: The PLA Honor Guard consists of three distinct formations representing the Ground Force (Green), Navy (White), and Air Force (Blue). The Ground Force is the oldest and largest branch of the Chinese military. Soldiers in this unit are selected for their height and bearing. They are most famous for the daily flag-raising ceremonies at Tiananmen Square and the massive military parades in Beijing. This figure represents the “Army” component of that elite trio.
